Horse Training Treat Bag

My young horse, Laszlo and I have been working with the lovely Millie of Equus With Millie (an accredited equine behaviourist) and realised the need for a superior horse treat bag or pouch for when you're training. There are lots of cheap and cheerful ones on the market but they are often poor quality, difficult to get the treats from quickly and too small. Millie says that one of the main reasons training can be ineffective is because the treats aren't given to the horse quickly enough, which is typically because the human is grappling with a bum bag or treat pouch where the zip is in an ill-conceived location or the bag opening is too small.

Sooooo Millie and I have been in discussion on the best shape and size to design a new bag specifically for treating horses during training. And this is what we have come up with!

The bag measures approximately 25cm wide by 18cm tall by 8cm deep, so is extremely roomy for all those wonderful grass nuts or hay cobs. There's also a handy separate front pocket big enough to accommodate an iphone plus or similar phone size.

Made to order from luxury quality marine faux leather (or another fabric of your choosing - get in touch to discuss) with a YKK zip, 50mm webbing strap, adjustable triglide and side release clip, waterproof fabric lining and bound seams, the bag is designed to be worn around your waist for optimal treat access!
